Membership: General Information
Once you are a Dohertys Gym Member, you will have access to any Dohertys Gym. If you have any questions regarding your membership, please contact your “Home Gym” – this is the gym you signed up with.
Below is some general information regarding Memberships and Gym Use. Please read our full Terms and Contitions here.
Direct Debit Memberships
Direct Debit Memberships are subject to a minimum term of 4 weeks for weekly memberships, and 1 month for monthly memberships.
Your first payment will come out the next business day after you sign up, and will continue weekly or monthly until you notify us of you intent to cancell your membership.
Late Payment Fees
A $10 fee will incur if your account cannot be debited. After 3 failed attempts to debit your account, your membership will be cancelled. You will not be able to access the gym until the outstanding memberships and fees have been paid. Payments can be made online or at the gym.
Upfront Memberships
Your membership is one upfront cost, paid in full. Your membership starts as soon as you sign up. Payments will not automatically renew. You will be sent a reminder via SMS or email when your membership is close to expiring.
In most cases, Upfront Memberships are non-refundable.
Pausing your Membership
Direct Debit Memberships and 12 Month Upfront Memberships can be suspended for a maximum of 3 months at a rate of $2.50 per week. This pauses your regular payments however you will not be able to access our gyms during this time. Memberships in the cancellation period are ineligible for suspension.
To suspend or resume your membership, please speak to our staff or contact your home gym directly.
Cancelling your Membership
A 30-day cancellation notice applies to Direct Debit Memberships. Any payments due in this time must be paid. You will still have access to the gym during the cancellation period. In most cases, you are inelligable for a refund if you decide to cancel an Upfront Membership.
You can cancel your membership online via the app, or by loging in to your account at https://myaccount.clubfit.net.au/login. You can also speak to our staff at the gym, or contact your home gym directly.
For members of Dohertys Gym Perth, you must visit the gym in person to cancel your membership.
Gym Etiquette
- Please scan your membership card when you enter the gym.
- If you don’t have your card, speak to our staff so they can sign you in.
- A replacement card can be purchased for $5 if you have lost your card.
- You MUST have a towel in order to train at our Gym.
- All weights must be put away after use.
- The use of tripods without an approved media application is strictly banned in our Gyms. This includes tripods for filming with mobile phones.
- Cameras are also not to be used in our Gyms without an approved media application. Consent must be gained from anyone who will appear in your photos or footage, including anyone in the background.
- If you are using your mobile phone to take footage of yourself or the gym, please be aware of people in the background and do not film or photograph other people without their consent.
- Our staff may refuse your entry or ask you to leave if you are behaving inappropriately or appear to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
- You must not train other people without prior consent from the Gym management.
- Our gyms are non-smoking facilities.
- Our gym and staff members are not responsible for lost or stolen items. Please keep any valuables with you or don’t bring them to the gym.
- Treat other members and our staff with respect.
